We always said there was a reason we avoid riding our mountain bikes in summer….SNAKES. However, we had only ever seen one near a trail in all the time we have been mountain biking.

Well, that changed today when I had a small tiger snake wander across the path in front of me. It was far enough away for me to stop with plenty of distance between us, but it still freaked me out.

All I knew was that he had come in 4th and there was a bit of bad luck involved. But when you watch the replay below, I’m sure you’ll agree that it was more than bad luck that kept Graves from the podium.

I hope for Jared’s sake, he is allowed to get down to business when he hits the Olympic BMX track.
