Here are the rest of the pics I have from the Australian day 1 practice at the BMX World Championships. Still more to come after this gallery from the second day of practice and racing. Keep you eyes here and to see if I snapped you!

hi just wondering if you were using liveview or the view finder on your camera ? its just i thought maybe you were useing your viewfinder and thats why lots of the images seem low
Hi Rob…the Canon 450D does not autofocus on live view, so I don’t really see the point in using it. Because the action is so fast and I was running my aperture as wide as I could, autofocus is imperative given you never know exactly what the focal plane you require will be. You can see how critical the focus is from my picture of Donny Robinson and Maris Strombergs on one of my other posts. Donny is slightly out of focus because the focal plane is not quite right. I don’t think either of them would have been in focus if I was trying to use liveview.
The only way to get a better vantage point is to become a UCI accredited photographer!
