Almost every Beastie Boys film clip has something that makes it great in its own way. “3 MCs and 1 DJ” has to be one of the best (Sabotage is probably equal first with it).
The was from whne Mix Master Mike (MMM) first started working with the 3 MCs of the Beastie Boys. The live scratching and beat juggling is great. Yes it is rehearsed to make it super slick in it’s execution, but the clip really showcases the way MCs and DJs should work together to form a Hip-Hop group.
Let’s see someone with a Wiimote do what MMM does with real vinyl!
